7 Days Best of Rwanda Safari

7 Days Best of Rwanda Safari: This safari for 7 days in Rwanda includes nearly all of the country’s tourist spots. The Rwanda safari tour starts and ends in Kigali, it takes you to Nyungwe forest national park for chimpanzee trekking, Gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park, and then Akagera National Park is open for wildlife viewing.

Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Volcanoes National park.

 You will meet our company representative/guide on this day at Kigali Airport or wherever you are in Kigali City, and they will take you to Volcanoes National Park, which is home to the critically endangered mountain gorillas. Day 2: Gorilla trekking experience.

Searching for the gorillas might take anything from one to eight hours, depending on their movement. Day 3: Stop over at Lake Kivu and transfer to Nyungwe national park.

It takes an hour to get to Rubavu after having an early breakfast at the lodge, visiting Lake Kivu, and enjoying the morning breeze at the shoreline. Spend no more than an hour there before leaving to continue your 4-5 hour trip to Nyungwe National Park, stopping for lunch along the way. The largest and oldest rain forest in East Africa is Nyungwe Forest. Arrive in the park in the late afternoon, then make your way to your hotel of choice Nyungwe Forest Lodge (luxury), Nyungwe Top View Hill Hotel (midrange), or Gisakura Guest House where you may unwind, have supper, and spend the night (budget).

Day 4: Chimpanzee tracking and afternoon canopy walk.

 Before entering the jungle to look for the lively and playful males in Nyungwe forest, enjoy breakfast and get informed about the endangered chimpanzees. Because they converse and laugh while jumping from one tree to another, chimpanzees are considerably simpler to locate. The average tracking of chimpanzees lasts three hours. Spend an hour searching for them while shooting pictures and videos. After that, you’ll head back to your lodging for lunch.

Canopy Walks in Nyungwe National Park

You will take a walking trail after lunch that leads to the Canopy Walk, a swing bridge that is 50 meters long and hanging from big trees. Day 5: Transfer to Akagera national park.

When you arrive at the park, enjoy a game drive to familiarize you with the stunning surroundings as you spot animals on your way to the lodge. Day 6: Game drive and Lake Ihema boat cruise.

On the 6th day of your 7 Days Best of Rwanda Safari, You will go on a morning game drive in the park after breakfast for some wonderful wildlife views. Together with other animals like giraffes, warthogs, waterbucks, zebras, hyenas, and several antelope species, travelers can expect to see the Big Five, which includes lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, cape buffaloes, and rhinos, which were recently introduced. More than 500 different bird species are to be expected. The game drive could take three to four hours. After lunch, head back to the lodge to unwind before the next activity.

The driver will pick you up in the afternoon for a boat tour on Lake Ihema, Rwanda’s second-largest lake after Lake Kivu.
