4 Days Rwanda Double Gorilla Trekking : The major tourist destination in Rwanda is the volcanoes National Park, where you may do gorilla trekking for 4 days. After that, you’ll have two opportunities to track an endangered mountain gorilla before returning to Kigali.
Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Volcanoes National Park.
Our company representative and the driver/guide will be there to meet you when you arrive at Kigali International Airport. You will then be driven through Rwanda’s terraced hills to Volcanoes National Park, where endangered mountain gorillas are found. Dinner and an overnight stay at Hotel Muhabura, Le Bambou Gorilla Lodge, or Sabyinyo Silverback Lodge (luxury) (budget).
Day 2: First Gorilla trekking experience.
After a leisurely breakfast, you will depart for the park headquarters with your packed lunch and bottled water at 7:00 am for a briefing with the park ranger guides. After receiving a briefing, you will go out on your 2- to 8-hour hike through the forest in search of mountain gorillas with the assistance of ranger guides.
But the guides will look in the area where they were last spotted the day before to try to locate them. After spending an hour with these kind giants, you’ll head back to your lodge to rest and recharge. You can explore Rwandan culture in the evening by taking an optional community tour in and around Ruhengeri. Same as above for dinner and sleep at the lodge.
Day 3: Second Gorilla Trekking experience.
Have a leisurely breakfast in the morning before heading to the park’s main office to begin your second gorilla trek, which will take you to a new gorilla family this time. The steps are the same as before.
You will go to Iby’iwacu Cultural Village later in the evening to learn more about traditional Rwanda culture and to take in the folklore and dances. After dinner, go back to the lodge and spend the night there as before.
Day 4: Kigali city tour and airport drop off.
Have breakfast at your leisure before traveling back to Kigali. When you get there, you’ll go on a city tour, stopping at places like the Genocide Memorial Grounds, neighborhood markets, museums, and craft stores. After shopping, you’ll head to the airport to catch your flight back home.
