4 Days Bwindi & Lake Bunyonyi Safari : This 4-day safari includes a gorilla trek in Uganda, one of the most exciting things to do when on a safari in that country, and then continues to Lake Bunyonyi, one of the most picturesque lakes in all of Africa, for some leisure.

Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable national park

You will meet our company representative/driver guide at your hotel in Kampala, depending on where you are staying, and be driven to Bwindi. Although the park is in the south-western region of Uganda, you must depart Kampala early in the day because it takes 7-8 hours to drive to the Kisoro district, stopping for lunch along the way. Day 2: Gorilla trekking experience

After breakfast, be driven to the park headquarters where the park warden will brief you on trekking for mountain gorillas before connecting you to the forest to look for the gorillas. The duration varies from 2 to 8 hours depending on the gorillas’ movement. Unexpectedly encountering gorillas is one of the most enthralling lifetime events. You will get the opportunity to see and snap pictures up close. Adults will be seen eating and moaning to one another. Your ranger guide will lead you back to the starting point after an hour with the eagerly anticipated gorillas, where your driver will be waiting to take you back to the resort for a peaceful evening.  Day 3: Boat ride at Lake Bunyonyi

Drive to the Kabale area to visit Lake Bunyonyi after an early morning breakfast. The lake, which has a depth between 44 and 900 meters and a width of between 7 to 25 kilometers, is situated in southwest Uganda, close to the Rwandan border, between the towns of Kisoro and Kabale. It is thought to be the second-deepest lake in Africa. The driver will go slowly so you may take shots of the area’s undulating hills. Usually, the drive takes 1.5 hours with a break for lunch. When you get to Lake Bunyonyi, you can connect for a boat trip or canoe paddle to see the main islands and the settlement while enjoying the beautiful scenery of the surrounding hills. Day 4: Transfer back to Kampala

After a leisurely breakfast, travel back to Kampala for 6-7 hours, stopping for lunch along the way. Arrive in the evening, have a nap, and then proceed to the airport to catch your journey home as scheduled.
