Day 1: Kigali to Bwindi impenetrable forest national park
After receiving your test results and being prepared to embark on your three-day safari in Uganda and Rwanda, you will meet your driver guide at the designated pick-up location in Kigali in the morning. After exchanging pleasantries, you will depart on a city tour of Kigali, stopping at the memorial sites for the Kigali Genocide and the Kimironko market to meet the locals.
Drive across the border into Uganda through Katuna. You will eat lunch en way and continue on to your hotel, where you will arrive later in the day. While you wait for supper to be served, check in and settle in. In the chilly, foggy Bwindi Forest National Park, you will spend the night.

Day 2: Mountain gorilla trekking and transfer to Volcanoes national park
Prepare for breakfast before the mountain gorillas’ trip by waking up to a refreshing wind from the forest. After that, you’ll connect with your driver guide and go to the park’s administrative center to get the briefing before the day’s activities.
The experienced ranger guides will go over the proper conduct and what to expect while trekking with mountain gorillas. Before meeting your gorilla family for the day, you will trek a few high spots or cross a few minor rivers. Before you find your gorilla family for the day and can observe the mountain gorillas in their natural environment, you will search for roughly two to four hours. You will be in the mountain gorillas’ presence for about an hour before leaving the park to meet up for lunch.
You will arrange to visit the Batwa community after lunch to learn about some of the native people’s customs and way of life. One of the native villages that is still largely intact is the Batwa community.
Once you’ve had your fill of the Batwa hamlet, you’ll leave the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park and proceed toward the Volcanoes National Park before returning to Rwanda. To reach your hotel in Ruhengeri, you will connect via the Cyanika border. It takes 3 hours to get here by road. Spend the night in Rwanda’s Volcanoes National Park.

Day 3: Golden monkey trekking and back to Kigali

After eating breakfast at your motel, you’ll leave for the volcanoes national park’s administrative center for a briefing regarding the golden monkey trekking. It will typically take less time than mountain gorilla trekking before you see these curious animals. You will rent the essential gear and enter the forest.
The golden monkeys are simple to detect thanks to their bright yellow skin, but photographing them can be challenging without a quick shutter speed. Following your encounter with the golden monkey hike, you will travel to Musanze for lunch before continuing on to Kigali, where you will be dropped off at the location you have specified.
