How To Get To Volcanoes National Park : Volcanoes national park is located in the northern part of rwanda covering an area of 160 square kilometers. The national park is located in Musanze district famously known as a tourism hub in rwanda. The national park is known for being a home for the endangered mountain gorillas. Tourists that love gorilla trekking as an activity make the volcanoes national park as their number one choice safari destination. Besides the endangered gorilla mountains volcanoes national park is also a home to wildlife such as black fronted duikers, bush bucks, giant forest hog, spotted hyenas among others bird species such as Ruwenzori turaco, handsome francolin among others mammals plus the five inactive volcanoes which are attached to the Virunga ranges.
There are various ways to get to the volcanoes national park and that is by air and road but the most used way to reach the volcanoes is by road transport.
BY ROAD

By road the tourists can access the national park by using kabale -Mbarara road. While on a drive tourists will cross Kampala, mpigi, masaka, Kisoro and kabale districts to cyanika border where they cross to rwanda. Here the tourists can use 1 hour to reach the volcanoes national park headquarters.
